About Hospice of Mercy and Mercy Home Health
Mercy Home Health and Hospice of Mercy both partner with Mercy Regional Medical Center to bring a continuum of expert, innovative, compassionate care to people of all ages, in all the places they call home. Together, these organizations are apart of Centura Health, the region's largest hospital and health care network.
We seek to create a covenant of caring that improves the health of the people in our communities. As a not-for-profit organization, Mercy Home Health and Hospice of Mercy have no shareholders to whom returns are distributed; all profits are reinvested in our mission and communities. By treating and touching the whole person-body, mind and spirit-we seek to create a healing sanctuary for our patients in their homes. We offer our patients a unique kind of care that recognizes needs and nurtures each individual with excellence, integrity and compassion.
It is our mission to allow patients to remain in their homes if that is their wish, for home is the best place of all to heal. We have a team of talented professionals that are experts at providing care at home and we are dedicated to fulfilling the wishes and needs of our patients.
Hospice of Mercy was formally San Juan Hospice, a program comprised solely of volunteers in 1980. In 1986, Mercy Medical Center purchased the hospice program and changed the name to Hospice of Mercy.
