Agreement will enhance quality, safety and scope of services provided to residents of Leadville and Lake County.

ENGLEWOOD, CO - (Aug. 5, 2013) Centura Health and St. Vincent Hospital in Leadville, Colo., have signed an affiliation and services agreement that will ensure that residents of Leadville, Lake County and surrounding communities have access to high-value care. The affiliation establishes an expanded system of care for St. Vincent Hospital, giving residents and health care providers greater access to the leading health care network in Colorado and western Kansas.

St. Vincent Hospital becomes the eighth independent affiliate to join the Centura Health network, along with San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa, Colo., and Conejos County Hospital, in La Jara, Colo. (now combined as San Luis Valley Health); Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center in Salida, Colo.; Middle Park Medical Center in Kremmling and Granby, Colo.; Lincoln Community Hospital and Nursing Home in Hugo, Colo.; Goodland Regional Medical Center in Goodland, Kan.; and Rio Grande Hospital in Del Norte, Colo.

Both Centura Health and St. Vincent Hospital believe health care should be delivered locally whenever possible, and will partner through this independent affiliation agreement to provide specific resources and services that support development of shared programs that complement and expand clinical services. The collaboration also promotes sharing of best practices amongst clinical professionals including education, development and overall talent management.
