Welcome to Mercy Regional Medical Center, southwest Colorado's largest and most technologically advanced hospital. Mercy Regional Medical Center is an 82-bed acute care hospital. More than 120 physicians and nearly 40 mid-level medical providers on staff represent more than 35 medical specialties. The new Mercy Regional Medical Center opened in the Grandview area of Durango in June, 2006. It includes state-of-the-art medical technology in an environment designed to promote a sense wellness and healing. All of the hospital's 82 patient rooms are private, and works of art located in the hospital's patient rooms, care areas, gardens, and lobbies comprise one of the largest collections in Colorado. Originally founded in 1882 by the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Regional Medical Center, a not-for-profit hospital, is part of the Catholic Health Initiatives health care system headquartered in Denver, Colorado. |
